So, Is the Derma co sunscreen good?

It is said to be a broad spectrum sunscreen. Now what is broad spectrum? It means that it has UVA and UVB protection. It not only protects from the sun rays but also from the blue light coming out of our electronic devices like laptops, mobile phones etc. The + sign indicates the level of protection from the sun rays and ideal number is 4 but the derma co sunscreen has PA +++++ so it’s good to go. It also has Hyaluronic acid which is an ingredient used in beauty and skincare products for making your skin plump and radiant by reducing the dark spots and wrinkles and show results instantly. It also has SPF 50. Anything above SPF 30 is great.

Sharing my experience:

I am an oily skin type. So most of the sunscreens do not suit me as they make me sweat on the face and then it starts looking greasy. I bought the Derma co aqua gel sunscreen for the primary reason that it is a gel based sunscreen which is said to be suitable for oily skin types.

The sunscreen that comes in a bottle is a slim and vertical one which does not take much space and is also travel friendly as it fits properly anywhere in your bag or makeup pouch. It has a pump tube which makes it easier to take out the product without wasting any of it.

The texture of the sunscreen is between thick and fluid. It glides easily and gets absorbed effortlessly into the skin. There is very little to no fragrance in it.

When applying on my face I took a generous amount of sunscreen which will cover my whole face. It blended quickly and easily into my skin and did not leave a white cast. I also prefer setting my face with a powder after applying any sunscreen so that it remains intact. It looks completely matte after final application which is good for oily skin.

As the name suggests it’s an aqua based gel sunscreen. My face did not sweat or look greasy even after 1-2 hours of application. I have used it on sunny as well as on cloudy days and it has suited both. Feels super light on the skin.

Final thoughts:

Like I said, it’s best suitable for oily and combination skin types. I love the texture and how it sits on my skin for a long time without greasing. I would definitely recommend buying this product.

Pros:

  • No white case
  • Small size bottle fits anywhere
  • Broad spectrum gives adequate protection
  • Doesn’t make the face look greasy and super light

Cons:

  • Not so great on dry skin since it gives a matte finish
  • Sensitive or acne prone skin need to do a patch test first before applying on face
